That is a delightful way of greeting (in Zulu) when you leave someone's place: Stay Well!
Much cooler and somewhat damper today; still time and space for a nice walk down to the sea - so refreshing....invigorating for the more rubust walker.
Relaxed day...like most other days...but Sunday seems to have that 'special something' built into 'doing nothing' - as Usks posted earlier.
Hope you had time to relax, recover and replenish resources before the start of another week! May it turn out to be rewarding for you! There is sure to be something special for all of us in the new week.
Enjoy the rest of the evening; may you have a restful night! May sleep come easily! Be Mindful!
Just gone Noon! Rather late arriving on this blog today; attended Remembrance Day Service - personally thinking about all the wasted 'loss of life' for whatever averred reasons....in Wars which could have been averted, but for the proclivity of humans to impose their 'wills and wishes' using brutal force - my thoughts were with and for ALL regardless....Loss of Life in Conflict...is Loss of Life!
So! Even the weather seems to echo my 'wintry feelings' towards the matter of Mindless Destruction of fellow humans....
Yet! One must never say 'the container is half-empty' - one has always to say..'it is half full'.
Have a Rewarding Sunday! May you engage freely with the Challenges and the Promises of another Beautiful Day!
Still, it was a lovely day....Took our leave of SIL and her daughter, both of whom fly out over the next couple of days. Good to see them. Superb Meal served..... Time now to exit and prepare for relaxing before bed...The M25/M23 always take the 'stuffing' out of me; don't much like traveling after sunset anymore....
We're off to South London soon - take our farewell from SIL who flies home on Monday. Time to see the other niece who flew in from another part of the world to see her sister..and the new baby. Going in time for 'Lunch' which will enable us to get back on the M25/M23 before daylight recedes....
May you all have a Delightful Saturday......will be catching up when I get back late afternoon! Take Care!
One could hardly tell whether it was 'Early Spring' or 'Late Autumn' this morning! Going by what one felt one can be forgiven for being confused.... A truly <del>'Early Spring'</del> "Late Autumn" morning.
Take Care!
A beautiful day in so many ways! Mixed Weather - all the elements in, almost, equal measure;
pleasant, rewarding interchange with many of my blogbuddies; more valuable learning experiences in blog operations - helpful hints from buddies; committal of thoughts to the written word...always so satisfying...all in all a quiet, pleasing day.
The two of us here, at home, spend much of our days never far away from each other - even when 'Herself' is off on her regular walks - she usually goes on her own, because she prefers quick, brisk walks...wheras I prefer to walk much more leasurely.
Time for exit! I hope you will have experienced some pleasure during the past day - pereferably, much! There are 'gems' in everyone's daily life, to be sure! Note them!
May you have a restful night....when time for bed comes! If sleep is elusive...may you have a calm, quiet night! Be Mindful!
It's exactly a year ago today, that I alighted in BCUK! I had previously floundered in 'Blogspot' for three months and found life there rather impersonal, distant and totally alien. Entering such an alien world as a total 'idiot' in matters relating to cumputer technology – certainly as far as its usuage is concerned – was dislocating; there were few reference points within the vast blogspot community.
A willy-nilly search for bloggers led me to blog.co.uk and after a cursory examination of the site, I signed up and immediately found the process easier, user friendly and most helpful. I soon got into it; in next to no time, I had managed to create my three separate blogs.
I cannot remember the first one I invited as a friend...but I DO remember the first to make a comment on any of my posts....The Walrus. He must have been one of the first...if not The First.. Most of the very first ones are still with me...Thanks......
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and hope to spend many more years sharing in the life of the Community....which is the first reason I would cite for being here: The Blog Community. It is so diverse, complex, interesting, stimulating, informative, jocular, invigorating, intellectually taxing...and profoundly enjoyable. Let me hasten to say...to keep the balance.. - that's me -, there are not just a few in this vast community who can be quite irritating, if not downright exasperating, but that makes for a more wholesome community. Good to be here!
I have learnt a lot since arriving here; had the dormant Muse of Verse awakaned, enjoyed intellectual stimulation and honed my philosophy of Life! Much of what I apprehend and learn in this life emanates from inferences and conclusions.....which I am wont to draw from careful observation and perceptions. The honesty and openness of blogbuddies and other bloggers have helped immensely.
For ALL your warmth, friendship, kindness, generosity and whatever...My Heartfelt Thanks!
Love You Folks!

That's goodnight in the Basque country!
Very fruitful and profitable Day! Success at last with posting a picture with following link! See! An achievement for me...with MUCH patient help and encouragement from two delightful blogbuddies...
Rewarding shopping errand with 't old lady; satisfying preparation of special post for tomorrow and able to scribble down some thoughts awaiting formal committal to writing after my exiting here....
Dare I ask if you - the reader - looked at your day to find the many 'rewards you enjoyed'?
Time to sign out now....Hoping that you will all have some good rest tonight...especially wishing those of you who find 'Sleep' elusive a restorative night with a surprise period of sleep! All of you...Take Care! Be Mindful!
Gorgeous Day here! A quick visit before we set off on our usual Shopping Trip with 't old lady! Have to let you all know how good the day is....not without that reminder that 'wintryness' is very much in evidence.
May the Day be kind and generous to you...even to the point of spoiling you. Make the best use of the day and all it brings...promise as well as challenge.
Take Care!
Take Care!
Interesting.....still folks around saying that! So! Kam'yuli! May your day be kind and generous to you, whatever adverse circumstances may drift your way.
Gorgeous conditions here...even if the temperature reminds us that we are graduating into Winter.....around 10C outside, though warming especially in the bright sun.
Errands to run; thoughts to commit to writing... a few chores to execute - must earn my 'supper'
**
While trying to find unusual ways in which the great diversity of peoples in our World say..goodbye...I was really astonished at the variables in the English way of saying so; does not even resemble 'good bye'.
As an example, take tonight's one.....Hooroo! Who can honestly say they recognise this form of saying 'Ciao'? Not an alien tongue; it is a form heard where English is the main language. I wonder whether Clive James may know --- though, I have a vague memory of hearing Rolf Harris using the word once...May be wrong....but I think Rolf did use it!
The form is heard down under.......
Time for me to say....Hooroo Mate!
Had a good day.....though not as successful as I would have liked it to be; still struggling to get something posted as a widget...that links me to a Website....Getting a very helpful hand from a kind blogbuddy....However....there is something that is getting lost 'in translation or communication...' Will try again on the morrow....
May you have a truly restful and restorative night....preferably through very sound sleep; if Orpheus fails to turn up....may positive thoughts and a calm spirit bring you whatever rest you need......Take Care! Be Mindful!
**
A reality check for people like me.....Wisdom may increase with age, but so does folly!

Been a really good day...with the grandchildren...and their dad...our son! Mum had gone off to School....Music Teacher! The boys spent a good two hours ten-pin bowling with Grandma...Little one stayed with me! Sheer delight. After delightful late lunch...I took them home...Excellent day!
We need to catch up on some sleep.... Amazing how much is taken out of us!
Been 'fiddling with my blog' with the generous - very patient - help of a blogbuddy! Still not got it done! I'll get there...I'm sure! .
Will bid you all a good night - those who are heading to the beds; morning to those who are - or will soon be - rising!
One could not wish for two mornings so diametrically opposite as yesterday...and today! In every respect....weatherwise, that is! Otherwise, as well! The consummate result is a 'Glorious Morning', on all fronts....including having grandchildren here....until I take them home this afternoon...The boys' last half-term holiday - back to school tomorrow; as will our little gem of a granddaughter...back to Nursery.
Wish we had such glorious weather for the Rugby Tournament yesterday....Still! That is all in the Nature of The Game....
Hopefully, people elsewhere in the country will see some respite from the severe 'weather turn-around' yesterday......after all...we are on the edges of two seasons - so, let's take it as it comes....nay we be spared inconvenience and tragedy....
What a Day! First of November...and, as though to give us all a quick reminder...the heavens opened this morning...as I gather from posts which I have browsed this last hour...almost right across the country. Bizarrely, the deluge abated and finall ceased after Midday...restoring the 'status quo'! What to make of it?
Got soaked on the rugby field trying to watch grandson play....that was, after driving through great pools of water on the main road there...Still! It was great fun! Hope you all managed to get some fun out of the 'rain, wind, dullness....and whatever happened afterwards.
I managed to browse virtually all posts...very tempted to comment...but had to resist, mostly, else would I be neglecting the family...by whose leave I am here for a quick visit! Sorry for not commenting on all the posts...did manage a few....will be back to normal tomorrow...
Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening...and end up having a good rest before you start another week...in the morning...Take Care! Be Mindful!
Early this morning; have to post this before I set off for son's place. We are watching grandson (aged 11) playing in a 'Rugby Union Local Tournament' later. Taking after granddad So! With the weather still very much in flux....and it being the First Day of November, I shall wish you all a Very Pleasant Day! I shall probably pop in here later - albeit briefly!
The family are coming to us here on the coast for Sunday Lunch...after the Rugby; they stay over for the night, because we shall 'mind the boys' who are still on half-term, while Dad, Mum and Little Sis...go off....Sis to Nursery and the elders to their 'jobs'.
Until later.....see you when I see you...BUT I shall.....
Take Care!
No grumbles! This has been another rewarding day, as has the entire week! Far more reasons for feeling good...than reasons for feeling otherwise....For that - Gratitude!
Lovely walk along the shore - time for reflection and the crafting of thoughts; useful/helpful chores at home with delightful company.....very useful communication with blog buddies....
Time for me to exit....few more things to do.
Whatever you're doing.....or plan to do....enjoy it...for those who look forward to their beds...may you find restful sleep.
Thought of a nice little 'phrase' this morning to describe the prevailing seasonal weather - Doldrummed Autumn! That is what it feels like today...as though everything is becalmed....For a change...and to be very topical...Enjoy the following.....
*
"Perhaps the most famous icon of the holiday is the jack-o-lantern. Various authorities attribute it to either Scottish or Irish origin. However, it seems clear that it was used as a lantern by people who traveled the road this night, the scary face to frighten away spirits or faeries who might otherwise lead one astray. Set on porches and in windows, they cast the same spell of protection over the household. (The American pumpkin seems to have forever superseded the European gourd as the jack-o-lantern of choice.) Bobbing for apples may well represent the remnants of a Pagan 'baptism' rite called a 'seining', according to some writers. The water-filled tub is a latter-day Cauldron of Regeneration, into which the novice's head is immersed. The fact that the participant in this folk game was usually blindfolded with hands tied behind the back also puts one in mind of a traditional Craft initiation ceremony."
Another excellent day...though, I must confess the temp struggled a little to stay up! Still, we could get out in the fresh air and even enjoyed some subdued sunshine. Also feel good about having done my first 'audio post'...with not just a little help from a dear blogfriend Now I can indulge in posting the occasional piece music that I like....
Friday errands were run....chores etc around the house completed and even managed some writing - hope to do more when I've exited here.
Hopefully, you will (all) have seen some smiling faces and enjoyed pleasant surprises during the course of the day. Let the evening go very well for you....and may the entire week-end be to your delight.
Wherever we look, there appears to be some confusion about the Movement of the Seasons - yet, there lingers, 'within', the suspicion that we might be taken by surprise when Autumn DOES make its exit...Will it be sudden? Will it continue to graduate in its decline...just like the colours of tree, shrub, plant and sky? That it will eventually submit to the wiles of Winter cannot be in doubt....For Now! Today! We revel in the tenderness of Autumn, mindful of the briskness of approaching Winter....We'll be ready and waiting...I'm sure!
Whatever you are doing....plan to do...or coming to the end of doing...may it give you pleasure! May you enjoy restful, restorative sleep....when you get to Noddyland! Be Mindful!
