Silhouettes.......

Strange how, despite our being retired - and joyously so - we are not immune to the 'Week-end' Effect!
Very GOOD that we are NOT......We can feel part and parcel of everyday life..... There are advantages, though, of being retired and still feel the Week-end Effect...Less stress...less strain...less anxiety....
On another gorgeous day...we could go for an amble....a few leisurely errands to run...even a brief sortie to the Garden Centre....
AND....time to browse around our own little garden....open to little surprises that may 'happen' our way....
Let the following speak for the day.....

LOL...Saturday and Sunday always manage to stand out from the rest of the week...I cook extra special meals usually and we seem to be more laid back at weekends... Have no idea why that should be so as, during the week, the days all blend into each other and sometimes I don't even remember what day it actually is... You're lucky to have had sunny all day...we've had sunshine, clouds, sunshine, clouds and now it soft clouds and a generally very pleasant evening but so windy!...nice looking out the window though... Have a lovely evening, Elliott...GBHs...XXX

  Too true Jen....We also have 'special meals' on Sat/Sun...especially on Sundays....I suppose it has become 'ingrained' Still rather lovely here...very pleasant evening....Let's enjoy it...GBHsxx

lovely flowers, the blue background makes them really 'pop'

and yes, despite my random life and lack of routine, i still feel the weekend, as the energy of my surroundings change.

Wow. Breathtaking and too gorgeous. What a way to begin the weekend, with richly clear blue skies! That somehow seems conducive to lighter moods and smiles, methinks. Ah, I like all three shots, (what is the first?) but the roses are the showstoppers, especially the blushing beauty. What a treat! Thanks for snagging shots and sharing. I enjoyed it all. Glad you're able to enjoy the weekend in blythe retirement, sounds like a rather relaxing day, eh? And since you usually are so sweet, I'll sign off to you with...Hugs!   Thanks Athel.....No! I don't 'photoshop'...Only sharpen...and crop...using Picasa....might saturate colour slightly...prefer to get as close as I can....from the start...

The weekend is the ending and the beginning of another week. We used to be so involved with our children's sports on the weekend. Now saturday is a time for shopping fror the weekend. Great pics B.
