  • Night Folks...

    Full Moon

No grumbles! This has been another rewarding day, as has the entire week! Far more reasons for feeling good...than reasons for feeling otherwise....For that - Gratitude!
Lovely walk along the shore - time for reflection and the crafting of thoughts; useful/helpful chores at home with delightful company.....very useful communication with blog buddies....
Time for me to exit....few more things to do.
Whatever you're doing.....or plan to do....enjoy it...for those who look forward to their beds...may you find restful sleep.

    **
Thought of a nice little 'phrase' this morning to describe the prevailing seasonal weather - Doldrummed Autumn! That is what it feels like today...as though everything is becalmed....For a change...and to be very topical...Enjoy the following.....
    *
"Perhaps the most famous icon of the holiday is the jack-o-lantern. Various authorities attribute it to either Scottish or Irish origin. However, it seems clear that it was used as a lantern by people who traveled the road this night, the scary face to frighten away spirits or faeries who might otherwise lead one astray. Set on porches and in windows, they cast the same spell of protection over the household. (The American pumpkin seems to have forever superseded the European gourd as the jack-o-lantern of choice.) Bobbing for apples may well represent the remnants of a Pagan 'baptism' rite called a 'seining', according to some writers. The water-filled tub is a latter-day Cauldron of Regeneration, into which the novice's head is immersed. The fact that the participant in this folk game was usually blindfolded with hands tied behind the back also puts one in mind of a traditional Craft initiation ceremony."

  • Hwyl.....

    Bye!
    **
Another excellent day...though, I must confess the temp struggled a little to stay up! Still, we could get out in the fresh air and even enjoyed some subdued sunshine. Also feel good about having done my first 'audio post'...with not just a little help from a dear blogfriend;) Now I can indulge in posting the occasional piece music that I like....
Friday errands were run....chores etc around the house completed and even managed some writing - hope to do more when I've exited here.
Hopefully, you will (all) have seen some smiling faces and enjoyed pleasant surprises during the course of the day. Let the evening go very well for you....and may the entire week-end be to your delight.
No prizes for spotting the greeting that heads the post....;)
Have a Good night....Time for rest and recuperation....Be Mindful!

  • How Do! Watch The Leaves Turn!

    Hi There!!!
    **
Wherever we look, there appears to be some confusion about the Movement of the Seasons - yet, there lingers, 'within', the suspicion that we might be taken by surprise when Autumn DOES make its exit...Will it be sudden? Will it continue to graduate in its decline...just like the colours of tree, shrub, plant and sky? That it will eventually submit to the wiles of Winter cannot be in doubt....For Now! Today! We revel in the tenderness of Autumn, mindful of the briskness of approaching Winter....We'll be ready and waiting...I'm sure!
Enjoy your day wherever you are...whatever you may be doing...even if it is 'nothing':))

Really has been a super day! Weather picked up....good exchanges in blogland...several other little pleasant surprises spicing the day. Had some fresh ideas which need 'putting down' when I've signed off here.....
Hopefully your day has been kind to you...if not as kind as you would have liked....maybe there are little gems you might have missed; have another look-back!
Whatever you are doing....plan to do...or coming to the end of doing...may it give you pleasure! May you enjoy restful, restorative sleep....when you get to Noddyland! Be Mindful!

I suppose I should post this on Q and A...but this is such a personal thing...I'm not sure whether this is not the better place! So! Any helpful suggestions welcome....The simpler the better....

I would like to upload and post some music from my own library on my blog. Is there any software that I need to do this?
I noticed that several bloggers have little 'mechanisms'(?) through which they post music from time to time. It would be helpful if there were a way other than having to upload it on to a Website and then...on to my blog! Am I asking too much? Or just talking nonsense?
BTW: I'm not interested in video clips...certainly not for the moment....
    Any ideas....suggestions....OR.....

  • How Do! Heating.....

    Hi There!!!
    **
Almost at the end of October and we have not felt the need for switching on our Heating System; admittedly, there have been just a few occasions when we did feel we needed to do so, but prevailed in exposing ourselves to the cooler climes in the belief that we should not 'give in' so readily to the first signs of adverse conditions. Perhaps that reflects something of our 'philosophy of Life'.
It would be interesting to get some re-actions to this view! ;)
Meanwhile, it's a little brighter today...still no significant sunshine, though the temp continues to hover around the 17C mark - even our night time temp remains above 10C, having dropped below on fewer than five occasions since the onset of Autumn...
Whatever the day holds for you.....engage with a smile! May you find many little surprises as the day unfolds....Take Care!

  • Good night folks!

    Full Moon
    **

There was only a very small window that opened to day for the sun to let us know that he was still very much in attendance - as always; apart from that brief 'look-in' the skies remained rather grey - even had a brief visitation from that strange 'sea haze' which looked as eerie as ever...but not for long!
However, we managed to do some clearing and tidying in the garden....Herself did much more; the 'Garden Girl' loves doing it...a small garden and she guards the pleasure zealously...:)) I did manage to get a brief spell...with her ladyship's implied permission....;)
In the course of clearing away the aftermath of summer, we were astounded to uncover the beginnings of Spring.....bulbs were showing....azaleas and camelias in bloom. Strange...but true! Does not Life, itself, present such periods of confusion for us?
Time to sign off......Hope you had some good things happening for you today! When you do retire for the night....may sleep come readily and easily for you! Be Mindful!

Barbara Walters, of 20/20, did a story on gender roles in Kabul, Afghanistan, several years before the Afghan conflict.

She noted that women customarily walked five paces behind their husbands.

She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walk behind their husbands. Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime, the women now seem to, and are happy to, maintain the old custom.

Ms. Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, 'Why do you now seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?' The woman looked Ms. Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, 'Land Mines.'

Moral of the story is (no matter what language you speak or where you
    go):

BEHIND EVERY MAN, THERE'S A SMART WOMAN

  • How Do! Indian Summer?

    Hi There!!!
    **

Grey skies, not cold, no brezze....out in the garden. Clearing away the aftermath of Summer, we discover the presence of Spring. This is still Autumn.....yet, the bulbs are sprouting, azalea and camelia in bloom and the birds are frolicking as though they know something we do not know.....So much promise around, despite the dull skies.
Whatever you may be doing...or plan doing...make the best of another blissful day. Enjoy it; it is there for the taking.

Really pleasant day...managed to run my few errands; did more than an hour's 'playing with words' and noting down quite a few delightful little word images...; spent some fruitful time in blogland.....and, generally, enjoying the 'nice' autumn weather.
Time for some serious reflection and possible writing, so I shall make my strategic withdrawal - hopefully as unobtrusive as possible. I hope you will have had a rewarding day, yourselves. Enjoy whatever you're doing right now....if/when you make your way 'bedwards' may sleep come esily and readily to you, thus providing you with refreshing rest. Take Care! Be Mindful!

    *
In a recent comment on my post, http://knysna.blog.co.uk/2009/10/26/an-afterthought-problem-7249664/#comments Mala posted this comment:"True and I hope I get the solution before I sleep or I have a restless night, Dang."
This set me wondering, whether people find it difficult...or easy...to defer a persistent, nagging problem until after they had 'slept on it'. There seems to be some creditable evidence - albeit anecdotal - that 'sleeping on it' does produce effective resolutions.......

  • How Do! Dream.....

    Hi There!!!
    **
Still very much Autumn here - - Mala and I are trying to prolong this delightful season for as long as we can! Any other helpers are most welcome....;) Even if the 'climes' are not as amenable as here, at this time, we can still maintain the tenor and mood of autumn - so mellow, so maturing, so amazing...
A few chores/errands to run for me; allocated time for 'doodling with words' - the Muse looking on; requisition time for blogland; space and time for doing nothing and then resting afterwards......let the day with all its challenges and promise be left to write its own script!
Enjoy it in all its splendour...whatever......Can You? Not for lack of trying?
I always remember the following.....Do some of you?

Busy, but most rewarding day! MSS handed in...just a few odds and ends that need attention; then sit back and continue with listening to the voice of the 'Muse' or her minions....or take note of how she communicates through the channels of Life...Nurture and Nature!
Also took SIL back to her daughter's in Chelsfield; touched on at our grandchildren on our way back - have to pass the town where they live. M25 very busy but traffic flowing. Always feel tired after the M25...:)) Must get some early rest tonight.
Hope you all had some wonderful experience today......when you DO reflect on the past day..take careful note of those facets of life which we so easily take for granted!
Hope you have a good night's rest...that sleep will come easily and readily to you! Be Mindful!

An immensely satisfying day is coming to an end......I've been able to finish what I had set out to do; maintained and enjoyed a delightfully even tenor throughout the day; communicated with and related to some very good friends - here and elsewhere; engaged whatever challenges presented themselves and embraced the promise of the day as it materialised. For all this and much more...I am grateful.
Hopefully, your day will have served you very well! A new day beckons for some....others are very much engaged in their day.....some of us are looking nesting down for the night....Sleep Well......Be Mindful!

Pat is not feeling very well and he decides to go to a doctor.
While he is waiting in the doctor's reception room, a nun comes out of the doctor's office. She looks very ashen, drawn and haggard.
Pat goes into the doctor's office and says to the doctor: "I just saw a nun leaving who looked absolutely terrible. I have never seen a woman look worse."
The doctor says: "I just told her that she is pregnant."
Pat exclaims: "Oh my, is she?"
The doctor responds: "No, but it sure cured her hiccups."

  • How Do! Life!

    Hi There!!!
    **
As always, a beautiful day replete with challenges and promise! The weather reflects these elements as ever - the sunshine in the blue skies; the difting clouds at times; grey overcast skies....sometimes darker....sometimes even persistent; rain and storm......moving air in all its forms...from zephyr to howling to raging....; the converse of calm and eloquent stillness!
Promise and Challenge......Peculiar how Nature mirrors Life!
Whatever you're doing...wherever you are.....engage Life as you would engage the Weather! Enjoy doing so....Have fun in the process, if/when at all possible!

Will make an exit presently; been quite an intensive day for me. Managed to complete the MSS; will probably read through once more before Monday morning; reluctant to do so because I'm bound to sense something can be enhanced -- too much enhancing can sometimes lose that sense of spontanaiety! Must be self-disciplined in the final reading....
Also have SIL staying until Monday; must spend time with her as well.
Weather has held up very well....lovely sunny afternoon...Hope your day gave you some reason to feel pleased....there is always something to make us feel pleased....

    Hi There!!!
    **
Methinks, the Autumn rains might well be on their way......not strong, driving, drenching but soft, steady persistent....The sort which lends that extra mysterious element to the subdued beauty of Autumn. There seems to be an elegance to the Autumnal weather today.....making it not unamenable......We can get out there and enjoy the open air...without fear of being overwhelmed.....
Hopefully, you can all say the same; if not, enjoy your day, regardless - after all you will still find plenty of challenges and promises in the course of the day....
Me! I have to complete my MSS today.....which will be done within the next few hours...THEN! I might just feel a 'tad lost', in which case I shall seek to take comfort in 'the pen, the pencil or the PC......'

Quite clearly, the best laid plans of mice and men...etc...etc.....which mewans I could not finish the MSS..but I shall have ample time on the morrow when OH will be off to Brighton to show her sister the sights and take in a theatre performance.....Yours truly will hold the fort!

Unscripted day turned out to be quite hectic...though not without pleasure. Usual shopping day for 't old lady followed by a brief 'break' in blogland; the arrival a a few folks for tea in which I could not join because I had to be off to see our grandson - his 11th birthday, and I had acquired a very special Rugby Ball for him...replica of the Match Ball used in the recent Lions tour of S.Africa....got the ball from S.Africa.
Little lad was absolutely 'over-the-moon'; very keen on 'Rugger'; plays for the local Club's U12's! Stayed with them for a while before setting off for home....The guests were just about to leave.
Little time for my 'MSS' - will have to finish the last bit in the morning.....
Had some time replying to comments and E-mails....and browsing some posts...just to save myself catching up with a big 'back-log!' Inquisitive!!!!!

So! Had to leave 'Bushka' in the Clinic for a few days! In for observation and then the necessary 'Check-Up' will proceed. There does not seem to be anything radically wrong.....so it is hoped. We shall see! Meanwhile, 'Baby-Bushka' is fast learning the 'ropes'....needs more delicate handling because of the smaller size....Not bad for me then...slow-down! :))
Other-wise and weather-wise, the day has been marvelous - despite errands which needed to be run. Even managed to catch up with some posts..very good!
Will be tuning out soon....So! May your 'Day', 'Midday', 'Afternoon' or 'Night go 'Well' for you...Take Care! Be Mindful!

A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?"
The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children, and so was all mankind made.."
Two days later the girl asked her father the same question.. The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved."
The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?"
The mother answered, "Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."

Back to normal...for us here; sun shining brightly in a clear blue sky with, perhaps, a breath of wind to 'stir', slightly, the autumn leaves... A lovely day with so much promise - as always.
Have to get 'Lappie' to the PC Clinic for a 'check-up'...so will be using 'baby-Bushka' when I next tune in to Blogland.
Hope you are having agreeable weather wherever you are....and that the day will bring you some pleasant surprises - whatever, enjoy what comes your way...;) 'See You Soon'......

That's good night in Belarusian...for obvious reasons...;) Been quite a rewarding day in spite of being kept busy with 'sorting out lappie' and having to run a couple of very important errands....regardless of the weather remaining not terribly exciting. I got through quite a lot; even keeping track of my e-mails and managing quite a number of posts...as well! Methinks, I shall take 'Lappie' to the PC Hospital tomorrow....if I have time...for a check-up! Will give 'her' an early rest tonight....
So! Hi, if you're rising; 'Steady as you go' if you're plodding through the day, 'Sleep Well' if you have half (or a fraction) of an eye on your place of repose! Hope you had a good day!

My! My! We are being spoilt this year! Perhaps in former years as well, except that I've not been as keenly aware as now of the perennial beauty of Nature...perhaps I have grown into a closer affinity with Nature! Whatever, it is a really sunny day.....blue skies with hardly, if any breeze at all. Admittedly, one is aware that it is autumn by the keenness of the air; temps do struggle to get above 20C. Yet! One is filled with a sense of 'Joy'.....
Our 'Little Angel' did not have a good night last...so her dad (son) brought her to us to mind...while he uses our Conservatory as his 'Office/Workplace' for the day - the working day. Luckily the weather is gorgeous....The 'Little Treasure' is so sweet! No problems...

WE got home from 'baby-sitting/child-minding' in time for a quick light 'supper', both of us feeling somewhat 'tired' after the early start to the day! Still, it has been a beautiful, pleasurable and rewarding - if a little more demanding - day! Ample reason to feel good, none more so than that we saw the grandchildren...:)

A contest was being held to see if some one could make it around the world on a camel without it taking a sh*t. Four men entered, an American man named Mike, a British man named Ian, a black man named Jose, and a Chinese man named Hien Yu. When Mike got to the finish line they asked what happened and he explained how he got a quarter of the way then his camel stopped and shat. When Ian got there, he explained how he only made it half way then his camel also took a sh*t. When Jose got back he was disappointed. He explained how he got three quarters of the way and really thought he was going to make it but then his camel shat. When Hien Yu got there he was so happy. He came across the line yelling "I did it, I did it!". They asked him how he did it and he said it was easy "Me Chinese, me no dumb, me stick cork up camel’s bum!!!!!!"

  • The Pastor and the Eggs!

    DSC00280The Pastor and the Eggs
    **

The elderly pastor was cleaning up his office one Friday morning. In the back of the office, he found a small box containing 3 eggs and 100 £1 notes. He showed his secretary the box to ask her about the box and its contents. Embarrassed, she admitted having hidden the box there for the last 25 years. Disappointed and hurt, the pastor asked her, "WHY?" The secretary replied that she hadn't wanted to hurt his feelings. He asked her how the box could have hurt his feelings. She said that every time that he had delivered a poor sermon, she had placed an egg in the box. The pastor felt that 3 poor sermons in 25 years was certainly nothing to feel bad about, so he asked her what the £100 was for. She replied, "Each time I got a dozen eggs, I sold them to the neighbours for £1."

"This is an ape's brain," said the scientist. "It will cost you £250."
"Very good," replied the alien. "Have you anything else?"
"Yes, this is a woman's brain and it will cost you £1,000."
"OK, that's fine. And just one more, possibly?"
"Well, this here, is a man's brain but it will cost you £5,000."
"Goodness me! Why is it so expensive?" the alien exclaimed.
"Well, it's hardly been used," replied the scientist.

as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope that
You will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending the
Evening with my 18 year old secretary at the Comfort Inn Hotel. Please
Don't be upset - I shall be home before midnight."

When the man came home late that night, he found the following letter on
    The dining room table:

    "My Dear Husband,

I received your letter and thank you for your honesty about me being 54
Years old. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you
Are also 54 years old. As you know, I am a maths teacher at our local
College. I would like to inform you that while you read this, I will be
At the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, one of my students, who is also the
    Assistant tennis coach.

He is young, virile, and like your secretary, 18 years old. As a
Successful businessman who has an excellent knowledge of maths, you will
Understand that we are in the same situation, although with one small
Difference - 18 goes into 54 a lot more times than 54 goes into 18.

  • Deadly Deodorant! Really?

    DonkeyNovember, 2008, England!
    **

A coroner in Britain has determined that a 12-year-old boy died after using too much spray deodorant in a confined space, according to a report from abc.net.au.

Daniel Hurley collapsed in January after spraying on Lynx deodorant in the bathroom of his Derbyshire home.

An inquest was told last week that a "volatile" agent in the deodorant upset the boy's heart rhythm.

He was hospitalized after the incident and died five days later from a cardiac arrhythmia, also known as abnormal heart rhythms, according to the report.

The boy’s father, Robert Hurley, told the inquest that Daniel was fit and healthy. He also took pride in his appearance, using hair gels and deodorants, which he often sprayed all over his clothes.

The coroner said it was combination of the deodorant and the fact that it was sprayed in a confined space that caused the adverse effect on the boy's heart.

His death followed an incident several weeks earlier when he had collapsed in the bathroom but quickly recovered, according to the report.

Surgeons in Japan thought they were removing a tumor from a 49-year-old man who was suffering from abdominal pain in late May, 2008.

Instead, they found a 25-year-old surgical towel that had crumpled into what looked like a softball-shaped tumor, Agence France-Presse reported.

The patient apparently had been carrying the cloth since 1983, when surgeons left it in him after minor ulcer surgery.

He went to Asahi General Hospital in late May after suffering pain. Doctors, at the time, found what they believed to be an 8-centimeter tumor.

According to an Asahi General Hospital spokesman: "The towel was greenish-blue although we are not sure about its original color."

Recollections did go back some years when I was working abroad among people who were close to the land and for whom an 'External Provider' was an immensely 'Real' Entity; very humbling it was then...and even this morning in my recollections their 'humility' was almost unreal. Still, it was Good! I was indeed able to 'Feel' profoundly grateful.....
We had a retired couple and 't old lady to Lunch which comprised traditional Roast Sirloin of Beef, Roast 'tatties', Veg and delicious thick gravy; Yorkshire Pud was served as a 'Starter' with delicious thik Onion gravy.....Yummy! Dessert? Apple Strudel and home-made custard/Tropical Fruit Salad. Coffee afterwards....
There! Folks left...around 4.30 p.m. We got back to norm around....6ish. Some time here in blogland....and time rolls on.
A few paper 'chores'.....must leave some time to read as well.
Bed will soon beckon...though Lady Sleep will be invited 'in' nearer the bewitching hour!
Hopefully you will all have had some experience during the past day, that will have gladdened your heart...for which you feel 'thankful'....Take it to sleep with you when the hour comes....Enough waffle....Be Mindful!

  • Sunday School!

    DSC00280
    **
Little Mary was not the best student in Sunday school. Usually she slept through the class.
One day the teacher called on her while she was napping, "tell me, Mary, who created the universe?" When Mary didn't stir, little Johnny, an altruistic boy seated in the chair behind her, took a pin and jabbed her in the rear. "God almighty!" Shouted Mary and the teacher said, "very good" and Mary fell back asleep.

A while later the teacher asked Mary, "who is our lord and savior," but, Mary didn't even stir from her slumber. Once again, Johnny came to the rescue and stuck her again. "Jesus Christ!" Shouted Mary and the teacher said, "very good," and Mary fell back asleep.

Then the teacher asked Mary a third question. "What did eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?" And again, Johnny jabbed her with the pin. This time Mary jumped up and shouted, "if you stick that damn thing in me one more time, I'll break it in half!"

    The teacher fainted.

Another beautiful Day! Rather dull and seasonally fresh with temps just above 13C; very slight breeze bearing just a hint that it might rain later on - just a hint, nothing more.
We are joining in today with the Celebration of Harvest Thanksgiving; an opportunity to concentrate our minds on that most positive aspect of 'Life'....Thanks! There is so much for which I need to be thankful and which I so often take for granted. I cannot be 'Me' without so much and so many extraneous to myself...and I want to concentrate my mind - and my heart - on that single word today....Thanks!
I started the day that way....and hope to carry it through the day! Here I am already sensing 'thanks' for the opportunity to share in the life of BCUK with all the diverse bloggers, various temperaments, idiosyncrasies, nationalities, cultures, intellects, knowledge and insights...and laughs...and what not...
May you all have a delightful day, whatever you may or may not be doing...wherever you are..
You are all beautiful in your own unique way!

Been a rather dull day - weather-wise -, what with rain thought to be in the 'offing' and never appearing, sun breaking through at unexpected intervals, the breeze 'waxing and waning' and the temps hovering around the 15C marl.....the weather gods kept us guessing, no doubt having great fun. However, allowing ourselves to sway with the day, we had another fulfilling day at the end of which we can safely say we had a good day!
Hopefully, you can all claim to have had some glimpse of pleasure...large or small! May your week-end continue to be kind to you.
Some may still be sleeping...others might well be stirring while many of us will be making for our cosy niches in preparation for Lady Sleep and her subtle, soothing wiles....Have A Good Night! Be Mindful....

A man passes by a restaurant sign that says "Unusual Breakfast"
He goes inside and asks the waitress "What is your unusual breakfast?"
    She replies, "Fried Chicken Tongue."
"Fried chicken tongue! I would never eat anything that came out of a chickens mouth!"
"Well what will you have then?" she asks.
"Oh, just give me some scrambled eggs".

  • How Do!

    Hi There!!!
    **
:lalala: We had some rain overnight - sadly, hardly more than 3mm. It was so goos to see the ground wet when we opened the curtains this morning. Still overcast...broken cloud...the sun has already peeped through gaps in the cloud. However, it does seem as though we might be getting a little more, Only a slight breeze out there....and the temps are still hovering around the 16C mark. Another beautiful Day!
We'll be off for a short sortie to the shops....must get a few 'goodies' for visitors to Lunch tomorrow. Then we hall return to our 'sanctum' where the day will entertain us with a diversity of things available....
Hope your day will treat you kindly whatever you may be doing....and whatever the climes; after all is said and done....there is so much all around us, wherever we may be. So! Enjoy your day.....See you later!;)

The day has been splendid; weather-wise, fairly consistent and otherwise, excellent! We collected our two grandsons and decided on the spur of the moment to give them a treat - always risky to put it to your grandsons; almost in unison they suggested the Smith and Western near them....Real Western (Cowboy) style Eatery....So! Granddad forked out for loads of chips, outrageous 'burgers' and 'milkshakes' et al; of course, granddad joined in the fray - An excellent time was had....Great afternoon....NOT too costly...;)
Night has fallen.....plenty Friday nocturnal activities proceed apace everywhere...The bed will beckon for some already...for others later....AND for some...bed is where they will be now, soon to rise from it......
For those on the way to Noddy Land....May Sleep come peacefully to you, bringing rest and refreshment....;) Be ever Mindful!

  • Smell Of Fresh Blood!

    DonkeyTHE SMELL OF FRESH BLOOD
    **
A vampire bat came flapping in from the night covered in fresh blood and parked himself on the roof of the cave to get some sleep. Pretty soon all the other bats smelled the blood and began hassling him about where he got it.
He told them to go away and let him get some sleep but they persisted until finally he gave in.
"OK, follow me" he said and flew out of the cave with hundreds of bats behind him.
Down through the valley they went, across a river and into a forest full of trees. Finally he slowed down and all the other bats excitedly milled around him.
"Now, do you see that tree over there?" he asked.
"Yes, Yes, Yes!" the bats all screamed in a frenzy.
"Good" said the bat, "Because I sure as hell didn't!"

  • How Do!

    Hi There!!!

Another Gorgeous Day! Grateful hearts abound! Lovely sunshine in a clear blue sky; just a breath of wind that barely move the leaves of the tree outside my window. Our doors and windows are ajar to imbibe the sheer delight of a blissful morning! The air is agreeably mild with temps already pushing 18C. The day is there to be enjoyed! Hopefully all of you will have the same....if not, then at the very least, a taste of such pleasure....;)
Only one major assignment today - we go to collect our grandsons from school this afternoon; a sort of 'school run'.....from where we are....about 20 miles away, which is little in comparison to what many children have to 'walk' in some parts of the world!
We are likely to have 'Tea' with the lads!
Whatever you are doing today.....or not doing....may you do it with some pleasurable consequences for yourself......
    Have A Good Day!!!!

Bit late in tonight folks! That does not mean the day has been hectic...spent more time with 'the pen' in a manner of speaking. Managed to nip 'in' and 'out' to check on mail etc....Now! I think I have level-pegging.....The day has been GOOD! Shopping escapade went well; some other little chores around the house and a couple of errands to run.
The weather has been excellent...Hopefully we shall enjoy some more, even though we DO need rain around these parts.Might come with a vengeance.
Tonight's greeting is in the language of the Indonesians....my little way of wanting to 'identify' with the people in their plight! No doubt most people around the world will spare them a thought.
When Sleep comes to meet you...or vice versa...may you enjoy a good night's rest...My thoughts are always with those for whom Lady Sleep seems not to be smiling.....May you find some rest, regardless! Be Mindful!

A police officer sees a man driving around with a pickup truck full of penguins. He pulls the guy over and says: "You can't drive around with penguins in this town! Take them to the zoo immediately."

The guy says OK, and drives away. The next day, the officer sees the guy still driving around with the truck full of penguins - and they're all wearing sunglasses.

He pulls the guy over and demands: "I thought I told you to take these penguins to the zoo yesterday?" The guy replies: "I did, today I'm taking them to the beach."
