    Camellea...

Some...if not most of you will remember my previous post this week....HERE....
'Flying Out' of Heathrow this week-end...Sunday, to be sure...and likely to be away for a couple of weeks. We (here at home) think needs of bereft family are better served if I stayed with them for a few extra days after the funeral - next Saturday!
So.....This is my last post on the Blog for a while....until end of month when I hope to be back in circulation here....
Thanks for all your kind comments and good wishes...will pass them on to youngest brother and his family.....:)
You might glimpse me from a distance......
    Meanwhile.....

    Be Good! Take Care!

  • At Peace!

    Iceland - Peace
    *

I can proffer no more pristine symbol of gratitude than this image of an Iceland Rose....

    For...

A dear sister-in-law who passed on to pastures new during the early hours of this morning!
It will not be easy for her husband (my brother) and the children (grown up) to come to terms with the loss of such a Precious Person,,:( However, we are alll grateful for her release from 2/3 years of struggle against her intractible illness....
Most people who knew her...especially those at the receiving end of her incomparable Nursing Skills..refer to her as....

    An Angel!

    Most appropriate approbation!
I shall be flying out this week-end..to be with the family...for a while....

    Requiescat in Pace

  • Will It....? Won't It....?

    Stay This Way.....?

It's Bank Holiday Week-end.....and....as we well know these Isles have a tradition of going to the beach in inclement Bank Holiday weather....Hardy? Silly?

Hopefully, the weather will stay the way it was yesterday...and promises to remain down our way - throughout these Fair Isles....

Absolutely gorgeous yesterday...which enbled me to indulge....
Here are a few from the splendid climes of yesterday...

  • The Bud, The Bloom.....and....

Could not resist this little 'Tease' after I had feasted my eyes on out delightful Camellea this morning. This one keeps 'coming on cue' every year...we even get a second 'show' towards the end of the year....
Hope you get the 'feel' of the pleasure I experienced this morning in bright, balmy sunshine...

I knew they were up there 'surfing the thermals'....Such a gorgeous afternoon - yesterday;) Too good to miss 'imbibing' the atmosphere...literally or otherwise!
Camera in hand I spent sometime looking into the delightful sky....'clicking away' at random....
Here are two of the many that materialised.....by chance.

  • Taking a Closer Look.....

Most people will know of my penchant for taking a 'close-up' look at 'things Natural'.... The inclination probably extends to all aspects of Life! ;)
Suffice to say I have a fondness for taking as close a look as possible at the Natural World!
No surprise, then, that I should be drawn to the garden yesterday with the sun shining on Nature's emerging bounty....
Just a few to 'wet your appetite'....

    Nineteen Today!

    May roses of contentment
    Grace the garden of your years;
    May sunshine of fulfilment
Keep your pathways without fears -
Ever live as one that cares!

Specially written for you this morning!
    Granddad!

  • Two Sides....

On my morning amble, today, I browsed around a nearby neighbourhood, keeping eyes and ears 'on alert' for anything that may present itself for my attention.....
    Armed with 'Cammy', of course?
Linking several parallel roads - at random intervals - are passage/alley ways which appear to date back some years...
Several of them have two different sides to them....the one older than the other....quite distinctive. ;)
Have a look....Click on the pics!

    The thought occurred to me....
"Life is often like these alley ways.....One Passage...Two Sides!!!" ;)

May your alley way always be going somewhere...!

  • Grandsons for the Week-end!

We have the pleasure of our two local grandsons staying for the week-end! Their sister is spending the week-end with the other grandparents.....Dad and Mum have gone 'off' somewhere....A sort of 'break away' before Schools reopen next week....
    So....

The 'Grands' are sharing the pleasure of the 'Young Ones'..
    These two are with us....
